The newest branch of The 49th Food & Spirits is set to bring a piece of Alaskan charm to Littleton. This venture marks a significant milestone as the concept approaches its 10th anniversary, a testament to the passion and dedication of Josh Scherer and Amanda Williams.

Josh Scherer's inspiration was ignited by the 1988 classic "Cocktail," starring Tom Cruise. Scherer began his career in a coffee shop in his hometown of Eagle River, Alaska. Josh found a natural transition from brewing coffee to mixing cocktails.

After spending decades honing his craft in Anchorage, Scherer followed his family to Colorado, where he took the bold step of opening his own establishment in Denver. Originally envisioned as a bar with good food, The 49th quickly evolved into something more – a restaurant with a bar feel and great food.

Amanda first met Josh at The 49th during its first year of operating. It did not take long for the couple to combine their strengths and run a successful business together. This partnership has been instrumental in creating a restaurant that not only serves great food but also offers an unparalleled dining experience.

The 49th Food & Spirits is well-known for its Alaskan-inspired menu. Diners can savor their signature elk-beef blend burgers, fish & chips, seasonal salads, meatloaf, and an assortment of creative appetizers. Complementing the food, they proudly serve beers from the Alaskan Brewing Co, alongside a selection of wines and original cocktails.

Josh & Amanda’s decision to expand to Littleton was driven by several factors, including its proximity to our Denver location and the opportunity to engage with a new customer base. The response from the Littleton community has been overwhelmingly positive. Local business owners, employees, and city enthusiasts have welcomed them with open arms and they are excited to be a part of this community.
