Littleton City Council recruits annually in December and January to fill vacancies on its authorities, boards, and commissions. Residents of the City of Littleton are invited to apply for vacancies by Wednesday, January 31, 2025.
All city offices and facilities including the Littleton Center, Bemis Library, the Littleton Museum, and Littleton Municipal Court will be closed Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Downtown Historic District Grant program was created to preserve and improve properties in the Downtown Historic District while increasing the district’s economic vitality.
In 2022, Littleton voters approved a 5% lodgers tax on hotels, motels, and short-term rentals. The revenue from this tax will be used to support arts, culture, and tourism in an effort to promote the positive role they play in the Littleton community.
Each year the Littleton City Council considers requests for discretionary grants, historically from nonprofit organizations that serve Littleton residents, and awards the grants to the organizations during the budget process.
The City of Littleton Arts & Culture Board (ACB) is committed to expanding art in public places. Funding for the installation of murals within Littleton city limits is appropriated annually.
