City Logos & Logo Use Policy
Official trademark
The logo is the official trademark for the City of Littleton. The city's logo is instantly recognizable and makes it clear that information accompanying the logo is from the city, and is authoritative, trustworthy, and authentic. The familiar, easily-recognizable logo ensures clear and consistent branding across City of Littleton departments and programs.
The city's logo shall appear on all official city documents, marketing materials, signage, vehicles, and all other products and materials produced by and for the city. The city's logo may not be used by any entity outside the city organization without permission.
The city does not allow the use of its logo on non-city printed and electronic publications, including but not limited to websites, social media channels, eNewsletters, videos, banners, flyers, brochures, reports, books, pamphlets, handouts, etc. Unauthorized use of the city's logo is prohibited.
Permission to use the city logo may be granted when the publishing organization has a formal relationship with the city such as a contract, sponsorship, agreement, partnership, grant, etc. For permission to use the city's logo, email the Communications department.
Logo may not be altered
The logo shall not be altered in any way, such as using logo elements separately; appending any part of the logo to another logo or design element; changing the colors of any part of the 3-color logo. The following are examples of how the logo shall not be used:

- Non-city organizations, businesses, agencies, nonprofits, etc., require permission before using the city's logo;
- When scaling the artwork, the logo must remain proportionate to the original;
- NEVER alter the colors from the original 3-color design;
- When reproducing the logo on a dark background, always use the single-color logo in a high-contrast color.
Single-color logo
This logo is used for one-color applications such as reversing from a dark background, or one-color embroidery. The color of the logo does not have to be white, but it must be all one color, and must provide enough contrast between the background and the logo to ensure good legibility and visibility.
