In 2019, the Littleton City Council approved the city's participation in the Metro Down Payment Assistance program, (MetroDPA) which helps potential homebuyers with down payment assistance when buying a home in Littleton. This program is provided by the City and County of Denver.
MetroDPA is for low- and moderate-income individuals and families who seek to bring the dream of home ownership within reach. Lacking sufficient funds for a down payment is often a barrier to home ownership. This program provides down payment assistance as a zero-interest, forgivable 2nd mortgage. As home buyers apply for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage, they receive help with down payment and closing costs of up to 5 percent of the loan.
